Default Timmy vomited last night. .

Timmy is a real food hound! he steal anything and everything and lick every plate he can find. i try to be careful, since i know there are lots of things i eat that wouldn't be good for him. he especially seems to like peppermint chewing gum. Ha!

last night he got a lick or two out of a empty dish that had once contained lemon granita (homemade, so no chemicals).

i don't know if that's related or not, but a few hours later he threw up. and what he threw up looked an awful like a cat hairball (i have cats, i know!). even when i poked at it it looked like it had darker color hair in it. no the kind of dog vomit i'm used to seeing.

our cat has dark, long haired. maybe he's somehow ingesting some of it? anything i should be worried about?

If he hasn't continued to keep vomiting I wouldn't be so worried about it. I don't know if you have already thrown it in the bin but you could have put some of it in a plastic ziplock bag and take it into your vet to find out what he ate and threw up, if you aren't freaked out about doing it. Dogs do sometimes eat grass to deliberately cause themselves to vomit to clean and clear their system.

Like chiwaamummy said, I wouldn't worry too much if he was only sick once and is fine now. These things happen. It's if the vomiting carried on that would start to get worried.

My chis are the same btw, they are so obsessed with food. They will get into any food if given the chance, especially Rocky. lol
