Piper's Dental 'adventure'

Piper's 2nd try with dental cleaning was scheduled for today. This time at a specialized vet dentist. Well, her resting heart rate was too low, so now we're off to a vet cardiologist to get it checked out. If it's all clear then we'll go back to the vet dentist (with a much lighter wallet). We love this little dog and are glad we rescued her but anyone who thinks good breeders charge too much for dogs hasn't seen (or paid for) the effects of random breeding.

It's true - in many cases, you get what you pay for.

Fingers crossed that all goes well with your cardiologist visit!!

Hoping she gets the all clear from the doc.

I have a chi just like her...every health issue in the book. Poor soul. Epilepsy, allergies, luxating patellas, collapsing trachea- he is the poster child of why BYBs are awful. :(

I'll keep you all in my thoughts and hope you get good news. It makes me angry that these so called breeders profit while their poorly bred dogs, no matter how much we love them, suffer and we suffer along with them.
