Default Puking on Prey Model Raw

I wasn't sure whether I should put this in health or raw feeding, so I put it all in the title!

A few weeks Or a month ago I started Gobo, my 7-9 month old rescue Chi to the prey model raw. He has been doing great! He is on boneless skinless chicken thighs, chicken wings, and frozen ground beef burgers (no additives, just beef). He had coccidia when I got him, which we treated for, then still had bad poops that got much better on a course if intestinal antibiotics and dog-specific probiotics. He was on Canidae chicken and rice cans from when I got him at the end of June until the raw switch.

So yesterday afternoon we were outside playing, and he chewed up and ate a small amount of a dried weed stem. Within 10 minutes of coming inside, he threw up part of his breakfast. This was 3-4 hours after I fed him a meal of ground beef and his usual supplements. He had been eating the same ground beef without issue as a full meal for a few days. He spent half an hour making sure he had eaten every molecule he had puked up!

I figured it was a fluke, but was surprised he still had food in his stomach to throw up. I went ahead and gave him a chicken wing section and his first bit of liver (chicken, from whole chickens we buy). I also threw in a chicken heart. He ate the liver but not the heart! He had a normal, wonderful poop midday.

Then around 4pm, at least 5 hours after he had a breakfast of chicken thigh meat and his usual morning supplements, he threw up some partly-digested meat. He had again been nibbling things outside, but that is normal for him. This dog eats dirt! This time he did not gobble it back up again. He ate his chicken thigh meat dinner without hesitation as normal.

Wow, this is long! If it happens again, I will call the vet, but I thought someone might have some insight. Thanks!

I think the weed made him throw up. The second time maybe the liver was too much? How much did you give him. If you are introducing liver, I'd do it very slowly. If he is doing fine otherwise, I would just ignore this vomiting.

The liver was about the size of my finger nail or a large pea. I have not given him any more since then, and no puking so far today! Thanks!
