Default Chi loves silver...

My chi licks my silver bangles to the point where I have to move my arm. I rarely remove them so when we are resting, he moves in to lick. Is this normal? Will this hurt him? We've had him for nearly three years, a gift from my niece but he will be nine in July. My female chi licks sporadically, not nearly as much as the male. I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

Thank you so much. It has taken almost three years for him to act as if he's really home. After he/they were given to us they would just sit by door waiting for their "real" parents to come back. That was heart breaking - so for him to climb upon me & lick...heaven! Thanks again

People feed their dogs Colloidal Silver so I don't know if there's much difference (I haven't offered it to my dogs but am looking into it, apparently they can benefit from it.. as can humans).
My Huskies love licking metal! My female does it in an obsessive way and was linked back to her separation anxiety days as a puppy and then as a young dog when she first started (which made the behaviour worse as she was getting herself hyped up even more). I trained it out of her to the point where she wasn't doing it as much but she still does it daily (her crate is metal), I only need to tell her off and she will stop (she used to sit/stand and lick, slobber, pant, whine, snap the air, slobber, lick, with wide eyes .. all at the metal- so quite the step from the state she once got herself in), she is now three and a half years old. I don't know why my male does it but he has never been bad with it so I only need to tell him off and he will stop, I don't want the behaviour to escalate again. He is now a little over two years old.
I don't know how they can like it, I tried a lick of metal and hated the sensation yuck yuck yuck lol. x x x
