Default Breeding

Hi, I live in South Yorkshire England with my lil girl Penny. I'm wanting to breed her and have 1 litter of pups before I have her spayed. Where would I find the perfect mate for her?

If you click on this link it will bring up all the available stud chihuahuas in South Yorkshire

if you are struggling to find a suitable stud, for example if you want a certain type or champion your best bet is to go on the kennel clubs list of chi studs or champdogs website... I hope this helps and you have a happy and healthy litter!

First, how old is your chi and what's her weight? She should be at least a couple years of age and 5 lbs or more. There's a lot of info that you need to study/gather before breeding your dog. Make sure you have a full understanding of the dangers that can come with it. It'd be nice to get with a stud from a breeder who can help guide you.

Yes I totally agree with Meoshia, Age weight and health are very important, Are you breeding to better the breed? And have you had all the health checks done? Especially bloods to check for underlying problems.

And if your bitch is under the 4.5 to the 5 pounds range its very unlikely she will birth naturally so are you prepared to foot the bill for a C-section? They usually range from 900 pounds upwards.

We aren't saying this to scare you lol! Just breeding unhealthy dogs just end up producing litters than will most likely end up in shelters breeding should be planned and never to be done without knowledge of the risks! and its very important when looking for a stud he also has all his records on show. And not to mention putting you through stress and most importantly the breeding bitch! but if you have all her paperwork her genetic lines and health checks done and she meets the requirements then go for it, it would be a very rewarding experience I imagine. !

Good luck! Keep us posted and we love pics around here so we'd love to see some.
