Default My new foster Chi!

I just signed up to foster through a local rescue a couple weeks ago just waiting for the right dog, and I am going to pick up my first Chi tomorrow evening! I am so excited. Her name is Pia, and she was a puppy mill dog taken out of CA where she was on the kill list at the shelter. You can tell by her nipples that she has had babies. They believe she is 3-5ish, but they will know more when she goes to the vet to get her dental done. Not sure how big she is, but they said she was Petite and low to the ground. I am assuming based off the pic maybe a fat 6ish lbs, but not sure obviously. They said she is super mellow and has not had any issues with any other dogs, so hopefully my girls take to her well.

Here is a pic of lil miss Pia-

Obviously after I pick her up I will take a ton more pics and post them.

I am sooooo excited!!!

Aww she is just precious. How cool of you to foster, I bet you're excited.
You said "just waiting for the right dog"...do you mean you'll be adding
to your pack? Or did you mean a right one for you to foster?

No, sadly not adding to my pack. I just want to find the right dog to foster.

Why sadly? Do you want to add another?
I thought I was done at 2...don't know how we ended up with 4 lol. But I'm glad we did.

I'm looking forward to hearing how your fostering experience goes. Are your
girls really good with other dogs? My Bella loves every other dog, but Chanel
is always skeptical at first, it takes her a while.

They are both skeptical at first, but are better with actual Chihuahuas their size, so we will see how it goes. I want a 3rd Chi, but I just don't think it's a good time to add one permanently. When I do it will probably be a male puppy from a high quality breeder since I want to have the experience of doing it right (not with a BYB- although I ADORE my girls) and having a standard Chihuahua whose lines we know and have been health tested, as both my girls are far from standard and either have LP, or is at risk for LP.

NO WAY! That is so cool. She's a cutie. Make sure you post pics once she's settled in!
