Default {Meet Gypsy!}

Well I know some of you have been waiting on these pictures!! I apologize I'm just now getting them up. It's just been a LONG day for me. We had thunder storms start this morning at about 7:00 when I was getting up to get ready to go pick her up. The power went out right before 8:00 a.m. & didn't get turned back on until almost 2:00 p.m.!!
Then I had to run a couple errands for my grandfather-in-law. Plus go to pick up the few things I needed for Gypsy. So anyways, finally you guys get to meet her.
I have a couple concerns about her as she's tiny and I do mean tiny. The lady that brought her and the little male in said they were born May 2 which means she was 8 weeks yesterday. When I got her home I tried weighing her on my kitchen scale & find that the battery is dead. I didn't want to get back out so I'll try to take care of that tomorrow. She doesn't look as if she was wormed properly, when she eats she gets that bloated belly look. Her appetite is good though. It also looks as if she either wasn't fed properly or couldn't eat because it was hard kibble or other dogs wouldn't let her eat. The brother looked the same they said. Someone else had taken him home the day before, so I didn't get to become a failed foster parent. Anyways, as I said in a previous post I'm feeding her the canned Wellness Core Grain-Free Puppy Formula. I fed her 3 times today, each time she ate 1/8 of a cup. Plus I gave her Nutrical 3 different times, just about a inch long ribbon of it. I'm concerned that she hasn't went poo yet.
When her & her brother were brought in they also had fleas on them. They had bathed them & got them off at the shelter. But she has a little irritated place on her right shoulder & a patch of hair missing. I doesn't looked inflammed or irritated though, so I wonder if she just has an allergy to fleas. I put some coconut oil on it tonight, plus let her lick a little of that...she LOVED it. So if any of you have any advice for me please chime in & give me some!! I'm so scared about her being so little & not taken care of. Oh they did give her & the male a worming at the shelter but no shots because they were just so little. In the pictures I'm sure you'll be able to see how she doesn't look healthy. But she's doing great so far. She's playful & like I said eating well, going pee but not poo.

Here's Gypsy!!

hey gypsy! ur adorable. i dont know much about how a dog doesnt look properly wormed but could it be shes not pooping because u changed her diet so quick? what was she on when she was at the other place? if you dont transition right they can get constipated like us puppies can certainly be on dry food all u have to do is soak it in warm water for a couple mins :] thats what i did with KC and she ate it right up

she is CUTE! I would keep an eye on the bald spot. could be from many different things. if you notice her start itching it a lot, or if it starts to spred, you may want to get a skin scrape. that can rule out many things from fungus to parasites.

Aww little cutie.

What did she eat before? Lilo was bloated and constipated too when I got her. I was worried about worms and other issues, but in her case I think it was caused by the food the previous owner was feeding her (which was crap). After a few days on the new food, the bloating was gone and stools became normal and healthy. As pigeonsheep said, it could also be related to transitioning from one food to another? I don't know much about how dogs not being wormed properly look either though, so I hope it's not related to that.

She is super cute! When her stomach bloats after eating, does it go back down fairly quick after? Angels did that too. I could almost see it expand! It doesn't do that anymore!
