Default Walk and Huly being naughty

Well I took BG & Sonny on a little walk last night. I needed to clear my head and honestly I have been keeping Sonny a little low key since his issue Sunday night to make sure he is ok. So they were both a little stir crazy and needed to get out!

We used the new leash Aunty LS sent us for BG and an old red one I had on Sonny (it is partially chewed thanks to Sonny hating short leashes LOL but did not want him to get too excited and still stay a little low key)

Mom fire hydrants are so last year where are the big trees

My favorite tree and flower (one I am not allergic to LOL) so I had to stop to smell which the pups were not happy about but I needed a taste of home and these are rare in VA.

UH OH! Someone is plotting and not going to allow the chis entry to the house! They always are looking for ways to torture each other and Huly got one up on them last night LOL

As soon as I opened the door Huly ran to the living room and pouted that I ruined his plot! LOL

Don't you just love to watch them in action playing with each other? You really get to see personality! I took Lulu walking last night for the first time in a while because of rain, but the air was still very heavy. That little nose has going a 100mph! I decided I had a hound dog not a chi!

LOL Yes I love watching them. Huly and the chis are NOT BFF. They just try to ignore and torture each other. Put it this way my hounds are scared of Huly! If they did not listen (at our old house they were inside and I would let them out) he would chase them back to their room. Also one day he had Gibbs (the 60lb hound) crying in a corner. I guess Gibbs being clumsy like he is stepped on Huly and Huly was using his head as a boxing bag until I broke it up. Huly is thankfully declawed or we would have damage.

He knows he can not hit the chis or he will lose cookie time so he will try to trip them instead. He will torture them by sitting at a door where they are pinned in a room as they will not run past him and they will torture him by barking every time he walks past my kitchen, or stealing his treats he might have left in his bowl.

Like I said I AM NEVER BORED!

That's funny! When my son and DIL lived with us a few months ago, she has a cat named Brookley. Brookley was just a baby then, and she and Gidget would play, play, play. Not Lulu! Lulu would let Brookley know she ruled this house and don't forget it! Well Brookley quickly grew up to be 4 times bigger than Gidget! She still wanted to play with Gidget, but her way of play was to jump on Gidget when she walked by and totally wrap her up so they looked like a black and white ball rolling around. Brookley was NOT declawed! We had to watch them like a hawk and be sure they could never be together if we weren't home because Gidget was terrified of Brookley. It wasn't play to Gidget; it was life or death. Gidget was never so happy in her life as the day Brookley moved out! Lulu though--she cut Lulu a wide margin when she was in the room with her. LOL I heard Lulu tell Gidget one time, "I told you don't play with the cat! It would come back to bite you in the butt!"

That is awesome! My nala was declawed when I got her so I had Huly declawed as it was only fair. Honestly it was a good decision as he still has his back claws but he turns feral when you touch his feet. We almost have to knock him out to trim those nails.

Truth to told, I actually believe Brookley is a feral cat that has been made into a house cat. My DIL's mom found her on the side of the road when she was about 6 weeks old. She still has a LOT of feral ways! She is a handful! I was the only one that could trim her for a long time or do a lot of things with her because I think my DIL was a little afraid of her, but after they moved out she had to just learn to do it whether she liked it or not.

Huly was found on the side of the road at 3 weeks. I bottle fed him but he still has feral moments. Part might be health issues as he attacks his tail to the point he took a chunk off. We finally got that under control but not sure if it is neurological or mental. Xrays etc are negative but could be nerve damage etc as he was in bad shape when we found him. He also is OCD, high anxiety, and it could be phantom tail issues now that he took a chunk off. I can do almost anything to him as he will accept it (but cutting toes) but others end up with battle wounds. Thankfully he likes my current Vet but other Vets have not been as lucky.

I loved reading those posts! I was watching Angel and Susie play this morning before we left for work! We hate to interrupt their play, so we sometimes end up cutting it close! hehe

I have one of those - ferel cat! She is my first cat. And she couldn't be any sweeter! But, she is so afraid of Angel! She stays upstairs, either on the bed or under the bed! One of my previous dogs found 5 kittens on the other side of our fence about 9 years ago. The mother took exceptional care of them!! I went outside everyday to see the kittens and play with them and talk with them! Who doesn't like kittens even if you don't like cats! Well, we found homes for four of them. One wouldn't socialize and stuck by her mom. To make a long story short, I hope, we ended up trapping both and bringing them inside. Mom ended up walking out the door one day when my son and his wife lived with us and was afraid to come back because of the cat next door! Neither of them were declawed, both indoor cats. When we first got Angel, I let him upstairs for a little bit. He would get under the bed right next to the cat and she did nothing but growl at him. She has never swiped at him! I am an over protective mom, so I was afraid to let him have free run of the house as a pup and they never got accustomed to each other! I also didn't want to have to search all over the house for pee and poop! Maybe, maybe, we are making progress. . .this morning when I took Angel downstairs, Meanie (the sweet cat) was lying in the middle of the hallway and did not move, just watched us! Normally she runs! I don't think she knows she can actually hurt him! hehe I have lots of places around the house where she can be with us and still be up high, but she stays upstairs.

Anyway, sounds like you guys have lots of entertainment! I miss that! Susie and Angel don't play a whole lot! Susie is afraid of everything!

Keep posting. . .I love reading their antics!!
