Partner loves him but isnt quite as patient with his puppy behaviours as i am! The constant chewing and biting are irritating him a bit i think, but i've told him to he patient. He'll get there

Thats half the fun of a puppy, just tell Partner, could be worse when you were a baby you weren't potty trained until you were 2!

Absolutely you are right that patience is needed, but chew toys are a big help with the chewing. When you catch him chewing, redirect with a chew toy or just keep one handy at all times. Also bully sticks and antlers are fabulous for chews--especially antlers. Store them in his food so they take on the food odor--he will chew his little heart out on something productive, not destructive! Hopefully others will give advice on the biting. I haven't had puppies in so long I just can't remember to be much help.

edit: Let me fix something. Get a separate bowl without a lid so it can breathe and germs won't grow and put some food in it to store the antler but that you don't feed that food to him, so if there are germs on the antler, he doesn't eat them.
