Default Wilson's new pad...

Well he was in a very small, but plenty big enough for him, plastic carry box type, it was very dark inside and though he settled and slept, till he needs a pee, lol, there wasn't enough room for a puppy pad, I already had this cage, but thought maybe it was to big, but when I first put Wilson's things in there, he jumped right in and explored! He loves light airy open plan, lol.

That is the set up I had for years for Brody. I tried a little plastic crate, but there was no room for a pad and he couldn't hold it all night, so we would wake up to a wet, smelly, unhappy puppy every morning. The larger wire crate set up worked great. He had a comfy bed and a potty pad in case he needed it.

Someone on one of my other posts suggested a playpen, that's when I got this out, as must be about the same size. I wasn't sure if it would be ok to put a pad in too, that's why I didn't use it before.

I'm a fan of giving a baby space and not putting them in a tiny crate. They will inevitably have accidents and then have to lay in it until they are let out. Or if they vomit, same thing. I really like the bigger set up where they have a separate bed and potty area. Seems much more humane to me.

Yeah I agree. He seemed much happier to be in the new one.

I like to give puppies lots of room too. I can't imagine them being in a space they can just barely turn around in.my three little ones share a 36" one it is huge for them since they all cuddle at one end in. Lola at her age does not even need to be kenneled anymore.

Looks like a great sleeping place I say the bigger the crate the better I had a huge crate for my Baby when he was little..with room for a big snuggle bag so he could have a smaller space if he wanted to
