Zoey didn't have a good start in life, this is how I got her. a sixteen year old girl brought her home from somewhere and her parents said NO DOG.... so the girl hid Zoey in a shoe box for two weeks. then the parents found Zoey while the girl was at school and was going to hit her in the head with a hammer if the girl didn't find it a home that day. so a lady my daughter works with took Zoey knowing she couldn't have her where she lived. so My daughter took Zoey home to babysit while the lady she works with moved, so in the 6 days that my daughter had her my granddaughter tripped over Zoey and broke Zoeys leg. So i took Zoey to the vet, we tried to get ahold of Zoeys owner and couldn't so I chose to pay the vet bill and took Zoey home till we could get ahold of her owner. Well my daughter finally got ahold of her and she told my daughter to just have Zoey put down cause she couldn't have her at her new house either. So I told them NO ONE would be putting Zoey DOWN that I would take her. So I have had her 3 weeks now and she is the happiest little girl ever. she is starting to gain a little weight. when we were at the vets 3 weeks ago she was just over 1 pound. the lady who works with my daughter says Zoey was 4 weeks old then but my vet seems to think she was about 3 months old at that point. I cant believe that someone would hit her in the head. WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH SOME PEOPLE..... anyway her leg has healed wonderfully and she gets around like its was never broke. The vet said she was lucky she was so young when this happened because she is young and her bones are still growing. I am very careful with her but in time she should be just fine.
