Oh you little sweetheart!! You rock that T-shirt! Great big hugs from me and Lulu, and you are in my prayers.

Her surgery is Feb 12...we are excited and anxious all at the same time...on one hand we know that the pacemaker will correct her condition but on the other hand we know that she has had 3 cardiac arrests with anesthesia..we have talked at length with her cardiologist re pro 's and con's..we also worry about her needing emergency surgery as we live many hrs from the Uni teaching hospital where all the specialists that care for her are..so all these concerns would be a thing of the past once she has her pacer..

Kathleen, I wonder, if, when you are all done with the surgery and ready to go home, that the vets would give you a written operative report. That would have the anesthesia doseage etc on it. Then your local vet would have that to use in an emergency? Or they could send one.

I got one yesterday when Emmie had her pins removed from the knees. Type of anesthesia, duration, how it was given (masked down, intubated) and how they kept her warm ("warm water blanket") Everything was documented. There was a fee for each thing.

We all will be thinking of you and her during this difficult wait time!
