Default Bye Bye Lilo :-(

My aunt came to my grandparents house today. She told me that her and my uncle are moving back to Arkansas. Which means, Lilo will be going home with them . I plan on giving her a list of things that I've learned about Lilo while I've had her so that she can keep up with what I've been doing. Starting with free feeding because she's gaining weight and she'll eat just fine if you do that. At least she has for the past month. She already got rid of her bed so she's not sleeping on something she's allergic to. No worries, I'll be checking up on her all the time. She's going to be fine. I'm even going to go ahead and have them tell me when they're coming up here again so I can get her to the vet and get her spayed. That way at least I know she won't be having any puppies while she's away. You know? I tried to talk her into letting me keep her, but she refuses. She really does love her and I think that she's learned from this exerience. Seeing that with a little effort on her part, Lilo can be a happy healthy puppy. She has another dog down there too that she will be able to play with. I think she'll be OK now. My aunt often asks me what she can do to keep her the way she is now and I tell her what I learn on here and stuff. I'm just going to keep telling myself she's going to be OK.

That's great that you made a list, hopefully she'll keep up with what you started.

Maybe with your educating her and showing her how quick a turn-around the little dog has made, your Aunt will make the effort to take better care of her.

I hope so. I know she loves her to peices and Lilo gets sooo excited to see her. I'm just scared for her. As I should be after what we've gone through. I can always take a weekend trip down there to see her though Arkansas is only 8hrs away. Not too far in opinion to see a family member...and my aunt too lol.

Awww... that's sad. Why won't she leave Lilo with you?

Hopefully she will start taking proper care of her.

I don't really know why I can't keep her. I know my aunt loves her to death. I think she'll be OK now though. She knows now that if I see something I don't like I'll take her back faster than anything.

Is your aunt still going to leave Lilo outside?

No!! I told her all about that!! The main reason she did that was because my uncle (her brother not her husband) didn't want the dog in the house. He leaves his larger one out all day. My aunt will have Lilo with her in the house and she'll get more attention down there too...not as much as she gets at my house, lol, but still more. She's not allowed on the carpet or anything at my uncles house and that really sucks for her cause she's a very touchy feely dog. Likes to be held and cuddled and everything. I'm thinking of sending Lina's crate home with them. Lina sleeps in my bed with me anyway and Boss does too. So really there is no reason for her to need the crate anymore. I can go get another one if need be anyway. I really just want Lilo to be comfy. I know that my aunt and uncle won't let her sleep with them (which she has gotten used to at my house), but she also likes to sleep in Linas crate. So, yeah, I'll send that home with them plus her new blankie and towel and everything .
