I spoke to a breeder and she said to do separate crates to make it easier to train them. Should I not have??

If it's working for you then keep at it. That's great you're already seeing results. I've always only had to train one a time. That's why I was curious why the seperate crates. I only crate 2 of mine, Ava and Braxton. They are both potty trained. Braxton could have free roam but she likes to chew electrical cords. And Kendall and Bailey are over 3 yrs of age so they no longer need to be crated. They are very well behaved, and don't usually go potty when I'm away from hm. After yrs of crate training them they for some reason like to hold it when I'm away.

Its more a trial and error type thing for us. It breaks my heart when they cry but I was told to stick at it. Blake came out and went potty on his pee pad with no issues but Pixie obv couldnt hold it in any longer. They have a play pen that they share with all their mod cons in it so where happy when they got out of the crates. We are having problems with potty training as we can't let them outside just yet until they get their last jags and Pixie thinks her pee pad is for ripping to shreds
I just hope this crate training will do them the world of good

Stick with it. I know you will have this down packed in a couple weeks. Ava is the only 1 out if my 4 who was potty pad trained. Her breeder kept her til she was 3 months due to her small size. So when I finally got her she was already a well rounded pup. However, I did have to transition her from the potty pad to litterbox training. All of mine are litter trained. I'm so glad to have my guys indoor trained as this winter here in Chicago was a brutal one! I so desperately want to move to Florida or Cali after this lol.

Default Crate training

Make sure to use some training treats. It really helps the process go faster. My last 3 pups were trained within weeks of me bringing them home.
