yea chihuahuas are prone to it! i didn't think KC was going to get it so quick though...they said she wasn't overweight but recommended a trimming of her fur to keep her lighter LOL. she doesn't need surgery as its not severe i just cant let her gain more weight

I'm taking Emmie to a PX therapy place on Thursday to get some home exercises to do. She is so big in the front, and so small in the back, I want to get an opinion on some exercises to do, to build up her rear end!! She is still limping, but is putting weight on the surgical leg. Three weeks on Thursday.

Oh poor KC. Wow! She sure does carry her weight well! I would never have guessed from her pics that she weighted that much! Is she on any kind of glucosamine? Lulu doesn't have LP issues, but I still give her Nupro in the silver container just because it can't hurt--it can only help! Look up Nupro in the silver container, and see what you think. Also, if she will let you maybe you could fill the bathtub up and let her do some swimming for exercise. So glad all else went well!

Hahaha! If she's like Lulu, she'll think you've lost your mind! LOL But it's worth a try!
