The weather was so nice here this week, we decided to go on a spontaneous camping trip by the sea with the chis. It was the first time we took them camping and the first time they saw the sea too. They absolutely loved it! And so did we. It was such a beautiful place too. Combined with the warm and sunny weather, it almost felt like we were on holiday in another country. I took some cute videos that I plan to put together, but for now I thought I'd share some pictures. =)

Racing each other to the beach. lol

Rocky: "I got there first!"
Lilo: "NO I got there first!".

Exploring together.

What ARE this!?!

They loved playing in the sea so much! We didn't even need to lure them in there with treats. hehe

Treat time

Omg how cute!! The scenery is just gorgeous! I really love all the pictures but the one where they are arguing over who got there first is my favorite! Your pair are like 2 peas in a pod and I love seeing their happy, smiling faces!
Aww thanks! They really are like 2 peas in a pod. I feel very lucky to have 2 dogs who get along so well! :)

I loved these photos! You guys look like you had so much fun!:sunny:

Rocky and Coco are such an adorable exploration duo! I love the teamwork on the sand digging picture, and could you post a close up of them running together on the beach, please? Id' like to see it. These pictures made me lean into my hand with wistful nostalgia. Those gentle little dogs playing in gentle little waves... such an inspiring embodiment of summer... it makes me miss the beach so much! I moved back inland when I was 16 but for a year we lived in the US Virgin Islands!

Here's one of the only beach pictures I have left, my parents with our first dog, Boomer. Well, he was my dog

Boomer loved to do the whole beach thing.

Rocky and Coco's pictures at the beach brought me back to those special times. Thank you :love4: Also they are very cute and lucky little dogs. :coolwink:

Aww thank you so much! And wow, a year in the US Virgin islands... that must have been amazing! I've always dreamed of living by the sea. I'm lucky to be close enough that I can travel to a beach occasionally though. I think I will plan many more of these trips this summer since we all loved it so much. Unfortunately all my close up pictures of them running together came up blurry. I got quite a few videos that I plan to put together so I'll probably post that soon. :D

Your dog Boomer was gorgeous btw. I love that picture of him looking cool with his sunglasses! :coolwink: I'm glad it could bring back these special memories for you, even if it must be a bit sad.

Thanks! It's crazy to think it's only one hour away from London on the train. I will definitely be going back there. I couldn't believe how quiet it was too. We almost had the beach all to ourselves. :p

I can imagine it gets crazy in Nice. I love the south of France so much though, honestly busy or not, I would move there any day! It's such a beautiful place. :)

Thanks! :) It's a little village called Camber (in East Sussex). There's not much there, but the beach and sand dunes are so beautiful and it was so quiet (especially in the dog sections). It was the first time I went there and will definitely go back.

We've trained Lilo off the leash from the start and her recall is brilliant. We've been working on it with Rocky and he's getting very good, but we do keep him on the leash more depending on the situation. It depends how busy it is. We only let them off the leash when it's safe and we're quite selective about which dogs they can play with / be off leash around. We were practically alone on that beach so it was perfect. :)
