Default Jewel is 16 months!

I took this picture of Jewel today and realized she just turned 16 months. We're one major away from her championship. She went winners bitch in a show this weekend. She suddenly looks so mature!

She has certainly grown into a beauty. it only seems two minutes ago she was a tiny fuzzball.
are you thinking of breeding from her?

I know....just a tiny puppy a year ago. She is right at four pounds. I'm going to have a reproductive vet look at the size of her uterus and pelvis and see what he/she thinks. I'd like to have another show puppy from her. Now this doesn't mean I would be the one to help her whelp and look after very young puppies. I would entrust that to an experienced breeder. So "maybe" this time next year.

How exciting!
You are lucky to have such a great mentor, that is definitely the way to do it. So much can go wrong with breeding Chis, this way you get all the fun and (hardly!) any of the worry.

It was so nice out today.....in the 60s! All the pups got to get out and run around. I'm so ready for spring.
