Default Finally recovered a few photos of Churro!

I finally managed to recover a few of the photos from my ancient phone! They're not the best quality, but I'm excited to have some photos of him until I can get a better camera.

Here's the first day I met him, at my bridal shower. His little ears are all flattened because he had just woken up when his owner's daughter brought him downstairs into a big crowd of people.
He perked up just a few minutes later and was falling back asleep.
I'm not sure how old he is here, but it should be about 3 months I believe.

Here's the first day we took him home for good at just over 10 months old.
It was cold and the snowman sweater was the only one they had in his tiny size!

about a week into his new stay

and yesterday evening in his new fleece, giving me his 'good morning mom, I just woke up from a long nap and wanted to make sure you still exist' face!

thanks for looking!

awww, cute pics of Churro ! I love his name. isn't a Churro a Mexican fried pastry ? sort of like a cinnamon donut but not shaped like a donut ? hehe.
he's adorable

Hah! Thank-you both! ^^

Yes, that is what a churro is! We actually only named him that by accident!
His given name is Thor-- but when we were puppysitting him for his old owner I kept teasing him by calling him cliche 'Mexican' food names. I kept finding myself using Churro more and more often-- and before long he started answering to it!
These days it has evolved to the point that most of his other nicknames have been dropped, and we have replaced the majority of them with nicknames for Churrro, like 'Churrio'.
It suits his clumsy and baby-like personality so well, and it's quite sentimental to us now, so it's just kindof stayed around.

We do love his little snowman sweater, but I'm always afraid to pull up the hood for fear of upsetting his big adorable bat ears!

Aww he's a cutie! What color is he? I really like the reddish brown - very handsome! He definitely looks more like a Churro than a Thor 😊

Thank-you! ^^
Unfortunately I'm not sure what exactly his coloring would be classified as; I knew coats better back in the day, but I'm not too familiar with most coat styles anymore. It is as you call it, a reddish brown though. ^^ Ofcourse you can see the white markings on his chest and front paws. Other than that, he has some subtle color blends that make it look like someone dusted him with pepper. You can see it on his head a little, and he's got it more clearly bordering parts of the white on his chest-- but it's so thin there that it doesn't show on camera too clearly!

He also has some darker shades of brown blended along his back. He's not by any means a solid color; that's about as much as I know! ^^;
I'll try to get some better shots of his coat minus the sweaters soon!

Your pup looks absolutely gorgeous as well! I had no idea that Chihuahuas had such beautiful varieties. ^^

Aww thank you! All chis are beautiful, and it's fun because there are so many coat colors they can come in! I wasn't expecting to own a black tri but somehow he stole my heart. I usually like the lighter colors like white, cream, fawn, and sable. Perhaps for my next chi, lol.

Maybe Churro is a red sable, based on your comment about being dusted with pepper. Either way he's a gorgeous boy

They certainly are! ^^ I can't stop looking at them all now, trying to see how different they all are!
I think black tri and merle surprised me the most. They're both stunning! The merle really stole my breath away; I was sorry to hear they tend to have some health issues though.... maybe some day I can take in a rescue instead! I don't think Churro wants any siblings right now though. :P
and I want to let him teach me a lot more first. ^^
especially since there's a fair chance the merle might have some health issues, be blind or deaf, and I know that is scary for any dog, especially a rescue. :<

also, I googled red sable chis, and you nailed it!! That's amazing, thank-you!! ^____^
