Default Padme loves to cuddle

I've got some pics of padme sleeping with her favorite toy on my lap this morning. I'm so glad that she can sleep on me without me having to watch her butt all paranoid. It's been only two days and the change is dramatic! The fur on her lower back is much softer and not hard and coarse anymore and she's finally filling out and looks alot less sunken in around the hips. She's even fluffier! I look forward to even more changes and a healthier body and healthier appearance. I cannot believe how floppy her ears are though I know it's from the shih tzu in her bc it's the only breed that has the floppy ears though I've heard that other pomchis ended up with floppy ears. her mother looked like a lc Chihuahua her face and ears were completely chi with the gizmo ears and long hair coming from them but her body was chi size but the crazy long hair of a shih tzu and I found out that that padmes mother wasn't half shih tzu like I thought apparently her mother was a shichi (longhaired chi) and the father a chi (shorthaired) so padmes mom was just a quarter Shi. Padmes father is a full Pomeranian but I don't see much pom at all. Padme looks like a long haired chi puppy with floppy shih tzu ears. Anyways here's the pics of the cuddling Padme.

I'll post the other few separately since I have to leave this page and it will reload and lose what I put.

forgot to add in other good news you guys here have inspired me to want to make padme all natural homemade treats as well as birthday cake for her first birthday I'm anxiously awaiting(especially since I have about nine months to go lol) I have to admit though I was a little worried that padme would want little to do with any treats or cake I'm going to make for a few reasons. the first time I ever tried to give her a treat (little jacs they were pongos favorite) she sniffed it and walked away I tried breaking it open so she could smell it better and she was a little more interested but not by much she finally ate one and now she loves them but it took alot of prompting. it takes alot of prompting to get her to eat anything really. she usually eats all her food but every once in a while she won't and I have to get her to eat out of my hand for a little bit before she realizes she is hungry and then she eats out of her bowl. I had to give her the praziquantel for the tapeworms and the directions said to put some peanut butter on bread and sprinkle the medicine on the bread and let the dog eat it. well she's way too small to eat a whole piece of bread so I just broke off a small corner put the pb on it and sprinkled the powder on it then I put a tiny bit more pb on the top of the medicine that way if she liked it she wasn't getting the nasty medicine taste. she did lick it a little and didn't want anything to do with it i tried to take the pb off the bread rolled it a bit and put it in her mouth to try and make it so she had to swallow it and after chewing it a bit she maneuvered it out of her mouth and she just wouldn't have anything to do with the pb. then I put it in a hollowed piece of hotdog and she wouldn't have anything to do with the HOTDOG I thought maybe she smells the pb so I cut a slice of hotdog and she wouldn't eat that either (note I only gave her hotdog to get her to eat the much needed medicine) so last resort I got her puppy food added the medicine pb hotdog piece to it and I added a bit of water to it bc she likes when I add it bc it makes the food a bit softer and I knew when she got hungry she'd eventually eat it and she ate it in two helpings. It did the trick and got rid of the tapeworms that day thank god! but I still thought it odd she didn't like peanut butter! Then I worried she wouldn't like the homemade treats and cake I plan to make her bc it's mostly peanut butter. I found a few others with bananas and Apple's and carrots so I saved them even the ones with the pb icing bc I hope to reintroduce it to her eventually. though today I got a shimmer of hope. My daughter who is usually never picky and wants the same lunch almost everyday refused to eat all her usuals today and wanted nothing but popsicles all day which obviously I said no too and eventually she settled on a banana. she dropped a piece and was going to throw it away but I thought why not see if padme likes bananas... so i asked her to give it to me instead and she did and then I gave it to padme who licked it twice thought for a couple seconds and licked it a few more times I set it down since she was taking awhile with it and put it in her food bowl and she went to it took a little while holding it in her mouth and tasting it and decided she liked it bc she ate another tiny piece and another and my daughter broke off a few more pieces and she ate them all!!! I was so happy that she finally likes something new and I'm going to try a banana cake for her birthday and make some banana treats in the meantime. my grandmother once told me if in the very beginning stages of puppies and all that I give them frozen green beans as a treat that to them it will be a reward and treat and they'll love it and at the same time be eating something healthy rather than what's in regular treats. She said the dogs they started doing that early enough loved green beans and carrots as treats. I also had a toy poodle and a lab that loved veggies especially carrots so I think I will try to do the same with padme as well as baking homemade treats. actually I come from a family of bakers my grandmother sells her cakes she bakes and decorates for every occasion she does the most beautiful wedding cakes and its always come in handy bc she does every birthday and wedding cake for everyone in the family her and my grandfather have always done them together and they are so special. I was the only one of the kids and grandkids that also wanted to learn so I've always baked too I love my grandma's and greatgrandmas recipes and we have fun doing them together so I cannot wait to share some of the dog cake recipes I've found with them. I also think since I cannot afford to the raw food diet for padme although I do get her a natural grain free dog food that has excellent reviews but I think I will start shredding carrots and adding fresh peas and green bean bits to it but I was wondering are bananas treats only like here and there since they are sweet or would it be something good and healthy to add to her food. I figured if it's too much to add to every meal maybe it'd still be good to add as a daily treat? When Padmes birthday comes I promise to add the pics of her finished cake as well as my daughters since their bday is two days apart I was going to combine their party and they'll each have their own birthday cake I'm going to ask my sister and uncle to bring their chis too so it'll be a chi puppy party and a little kid party its going tto be sooo cute! And they'll all get cake anybody here in VA? we can save ya a slice
