Default Lovely Autumn day at the park

Here's Koji enjoying himself at the park He does quite well off lead and recalls away nicely from other people/dogs, and stays close by. Our big obstacle is he's fearful of strangers trying to pet him, but with time hopefully he'll get a bit braver.

He's 16 weeks now and getting quite lanky!

Great photo! Glad he is able to run around and smell all the smells, and even more fun knowing all the fall smells are new to him!

at 16 weeks he is nearing the time when he will ignore your come command. Please understand this is normal. I recommend a long line (I made one of plain old string, tied to the clasp). I used it with Bonnie. It was light enough, yet strong enough to 'haul her in' if I needed too. It was 20 feet! Gave her enough freedom to sniff around and to get to the fence which surrounds our condo. Go too the hardware store and get a fastener, and tie it to the string. Viola!! a leash! Safer too. JMO

Aww he's adorable! I trained my chis recall and to walk off the leash since they were puppies too (only in safe places like big parks of course). They get so much more exercise done that way.
