Default Guard Dog On Duty

Hi gang.. I havent been on much since Little Bella was born. Busy taking care of her when her mommy is gone. Gizmo ended up jealous at first, we let him near her, sniff her out and even sit with us while feeding.. He's now her guard dog, where she is you will find him close by. I laid her on the blanket on the floor and went into the kitchen, her mommy followed me and I said to her..Do not leave her in there along with Gimzo, I know he loves to cuddle and didn't need him cuddling in her face..This is what we found when we went back in..(within seconds mind you)

He hates when someone new comes in and picks her up,heck he hates when I pick her up lol. he barks at me until I tell him I'm allowed lol..He's so funny but I am so happy he's use to her now and not jealous anymore..Guess she has a guard to watch over her.

My chi Emma follows my 4 year old round all the time will only eat if he puts her food down and she insists on going to nursery to pick him up.
Amazing the bond kids have with dogs.

Things are going great, thanks for asking. Her name is Isabella but most of us call her Bella. Funny how she stares at Gizmo when he is near her. For being only a month old she sure can give some funny faces when looking at him.
My hubby was sitting in the rocker one night and sure enough on his lap was also Gizmo watching ever move he made with Bella.
My daughter usually leaves on the weekends and takes Bella with her (of course lol) and Gizmo mopes around the house, cries at the door and sits by Bella bed crying the whole time they are away. He drives me nuts with his crying....lol he misses the baby.

Bella is still up 3 to 4 times a night. She's eating for the most part every two hours. Daughter is sure finding out fast what a new mommy is all about. I refuse to get up and take over for her..Told her when she got preggers that we will not see the baby starve go without but it's her job now. I will get up IF she is sick, running a temp or a emergency only. Not being a mean Nanna I hope but she's 21 and knows birth control is out there.. But now that Bella is here I am totally in love and enjoying her. I do take care of her when my daughter is at work. That's my time to spoil her lol.
So far daughter is doing a great job with her and has only asked once for me to come downstairs, she fed, changed, rocked Bella and over two hours later she was still awake...daughter had to get up in two hours and leave for work. I got up, rocked her and within 7 minutes I was back in bed. LOL I told her she missed her Nanna and needed a rock with me lol...

Awwww....What an adorable photo! Bella is beautiful. Gizmo is such a big, brave guard dog.
