Well we picked Zeth up from the vets last night. All went well with his surgery. They said he woke up from the anesethia and was rearing to go, they weren't kidding either. When they carried him into me last night, he wiggled liked crazy for his Mommy. They had just given him a shot of morphine so they could keep him calm and make sure he didn't have any pain. I was thinking the minute we got home he would pass out cold. Boy was I wrong. He was so excited about seeing his sister and he immediately ran over and grabbed all is toys out of his box. He was ready to play. He must have drank 1/2 gallon of water as well. After being home for no more than an hour he started crying at the refrigerator. I gave him a 1/4 of the amount of food he normal eats and he gobbled it so fast I didn't have time to put the rest back in the refrig. An hour later he was screaming for more food. He managed to eat more than he does in one day and the good news is he didn't get sick.
He's awake this morning and rearing to go again. He brought me his leash and harness first thing so we harnessed up and went outside. He thought we where going to go on our daily 3 mile hike. I had to pick him up and carry him inside the house. He's supposed to be on rest for the next week or so. Apparently he doesn't think so.
Here's a few pics from last night with his Big sister Sandy.
