Well, I thought I'd share a few pictures of Emma...
For those of you who don't know her story, I rescued her from an ad on craigslist when she was just 17 hours old and 3 ounces in weight. She was born with a cleft palate, cleft lip and nasal / facial deformities.
4 surgeries within her first week of life -- 2 more at 6 months of age.
She continues to thrive and is doing beautifully at 29 ounces and 18 months old.
We just moved from Oklahoma to Texas and she is loving the warmer weather!!
These are a few of the rare "nudes" I have of her - - - she's all but hairless and generally is covered from head to toe to keep from chilling.
I love a happy ending, even when I cry at the sad beginning... and Emma's story certainly made me cry... there are some folks in this world who have a special relationship with animals.. It is obvious that you are one of those people. Little Emma is so very fortunate to be a part of your family, and I am certain you are extremely blessed by her in your life as well.
Well done, you are a person I would like to call a friend.. you have my respect. Deb
