Default Avas Legs Update.. (graphic pictures)

I really am not sure what to do... Avas legs are getting worse i can see it in her toes... I have been trying to cute her nails but It actually hurts her because the bend her toes and they are already hurting. She bit me good this wee. The vet says she not in Pain and she is taking 1 15mg tab of Prednazone (sp?) a day to slow the process. I just Feel Avas pain and I see it in her when she trys to jump on the couch or off the couch and does a faceplant.. or if she wants up or down off someones lap. or if shes trying to play with one of the other dogs she cant stand to play she has to lay down... She can run she waddles. I will actually try to get a video of Ava walking so you guys can see it. Here are some pictures of her now and about 6 months ago...

about 8 or 9 months ago

Now ( I know her nails look bad But i swear they really are not its because of the way her toes are spreading and now growing weird)

Oh bless, Poor Ava. Just by looking at the photos it looks painful. How did they get like that. Poor baby, I know it must be hard for you to see her like that plus hearing the vets say she's not in pain, when you can really see the real her. Poor baby. I'll keep her in my prayers and hope something can help her. Did they say she can be helped or fixed?

What is her diagnosis?? I've seen things like that which are due to malnourishmebt or vitamin deficiency (obv I'm not accusing u of this)

Seriously I wouldn't let her bite you regardless if what is wrong with her or if she's in pain your her leader it's against pack mentality to bite pack leader

Anyway I hope you can get her better

Oh the poor baby!
I would take her somewhere else, cause i find it hard to believe she is not in any pain or discomfort with feet like that!
Cant they do anything for her?
Even amputation would be better than that, and lots of dogs live a long happy life and get prosthetic feet.

Your heart must break seeing her this way, i know i would feel the same.

Oh gosh, I'm so sorry, poor little girl! It must be so hard for you seeing her like this. Is there anything they can possibly do for her?

Awe, that is just heartbreaking. I can't imagine she's not in pain. If I were you I'd pop a sock over her head and clip those nails. I had to do that w/ Laurel at first when I met hubby b'c her nails were awful and she'd bite, HARD. It doesn't hurt them and they can breathe fine but it obv keeps from biting. Her poor little legs that makes me so so so sad.

Bless her heart. I would do what Kristi mentioned, or let the Vets office cut her nails. Poor sweet baby girl. They never found anything that could help her?

The way her feet are doing is how people get when they have rheumatoid arthritis. I can imagine that it's painful. I can't see how it wouldn't be.
