That's awesome! How do you go about teaching "roll over?" Gemma's tricks have come naturally because they are all things she had just done on her own to begin with, so it was easy to associate them with a command. She only ever rolls over when she's outside rolling in smelly grass, lol. I have no idea where to begin with something like that!

Thankyou
Well she has struggled with this one for ages, so i gave her a months break and tried a new tactic...
I got her in a Sit, then a Down, then with a very tasty treat in my hand moved it from her head down her side to her leg, so her head should naturally follow the treat, gravity takes over and she rolls onto her back (this is when you say Roll Over). Move the treat accross her body so its at the other side, she should then get up and she can have the treat x

Oooh, I see! Going to have to try this with Gemma. Something tells me she's just going to be attacking my hand for the treat, lol.

Ha well, Honey does that too! Just every time she tried to grab the treat or got out of her down, i put the treat behind my back and said 'Too Bad!' - so the food had disappeared because she did something i didnt ask her to do.

Good job Honey! That is exactly how I tried to teach Chloe to roll over... With no success. But she did learn to crawl and I love it! Lol

Honey is a clever girl indeed. How long did you take to teach her that trick?

Just a couple of days Kathy She is a very quick learner, but she tends to forget as quick as she learns!
