Brody had a retained baby tooth on the bottom. He is 4 years old in a month!! It was a canine. I can't believe it took this long to get wobbly enough to be removed!
I had the vet pull the one on the left side that was loose back in the spring. It was really loose. This one was very snug so we left it as it wasn't interfering with other teeth. It has become loose in the past month and I have been working on it. Today I was able to remove it. It has a LONG root on it, just like the other one did. I'm really glad to get that out.
A few pics ....
Here is the tooth after I removed it. Where I was brushing it, it is nice and white, but the part that was loose, under the gum, was really getting discolored. Another reason I really wanted it out of there!
And here is the placement in his mouth where the arrow is pointing. Sorry its not a very good shot of the empty socket where it came out as he was really wiggling as hubby was trying to hold him and peel his lips back. But at least you can see his nice clean teeth! (And his obvious underbite. ha)
He wasn't very happy with me. He was giving me the stink eye as you can see.
He did decide to play with his pig though.
He LOVES his little pink pig ....
