Unhappy Very scared..

Neeva is booked in to get spayed on Friday, my vet is fantastic and they are the best in our area but I am just so nervous.

She goes in for her pre op assessments on the Friday morning, to make sure she is in full health and will be fine under anaesthetic. I fully trust our vet as with any problems we've had they have went out their way to help. There are concerns for me as she is so tiny, the vet has assured me and my partner that everything will be ok and they would never operate on a dog that wasn't fit to be.

If your female is spayed what weight and all round size was she? I am a total nervous wreck I'm considering taken friday off work so I can be there if anything goes wrong. Maybe I'm just being a bit ridiculous.. but she is my baby.

Awww you're not being ridiculous, I think we're all worried about stuff like that. I was nervous when Rocky was neutered... and I haven't had Lilo spayed yet. If I ever go ahead with it, I'm sure I'll be a nervous wreck too! I'm sure your little Neeva will be ok though, it sounds like she's in good hands.

Thanks Camille!!

We originally didn't plan to get her spade but she is looking like she's going to be a tiny little girl and I would be a paranoid mess with her in heat around Pablo as he's still got his manhood. So better safe than sorry! She's only standing around 6 inches in height if that, and weighing maybe less than 3lbs. Im a nervous wreck ha! I phoned up to get all the details and phoned even surrounding vets but we are sticking with our own one but it was so fast! I thought i'd be waiting a couple of weeks not Friday eeeee!!

I know what you mean. It was the same thing with us. I didn't particularly want to have Rocky neutered, but it had to be one or the other or we would have certainly ended up with puppies. Wow 3 pounds or less is so small! I don't have any experience with chis this tiny, but hopefully others on here will have some advice or will be able to reassure you. Hope it all goes well!

I really didnt expect her to be this small, she's very tiny but chunky not dainty if that makes sense lol? I think she will grow some more but not crazy big. I just over worry I'm a total nightmare

Oh I know how you feel. Nibbler was neutered at 10 weeks because the shelter wouldn't let me have him until he was desexed. He was a baby, weighed exactly 1kg and I was terrified but all went well. I'm sure all will be well for Neeva. It's normal to be so worried that you feel sick right? 😛
