Default Peanut has to be right with me

Since I have found Prissy a wonderful new home...Peanut has been like velcro! LOL he always wants to be right up here cuddled up with me every second I am home. I absolutely love it but wow...he has never been this way before. I mean he loved his cuddle time but then he would want down to go do his own thing. Is he making up for all that lost time that I gave to Prissy? Maybe he is making sure I will not forget he is the ONE & ONLY baby I need? Haha has anyone else experienced this? He is sitting right here watching me type lol Such a stinker

He's happy to have his mom back. Some chi's just don't mix. Doesn't mean there isn't a right fit or addition for your home. I have 4 that get on well. As long as the two of you are content with one another then that's what counts.

Maybe Peanut is trying to show you how much he loves you and how happy he is. Most of mine are clingy. Some more than others, but I'm dealing with previous abuse and neglect. Eventually they "grow a pair" and get more independent. Peanut sounds like he wants you to know he's happy and maybe a tad insecure right now.

I think you are correct! He has become much more loving and very playful too, like he was before Prissy. Yes Peanut was abused too in his former home. I am not too keen on him being more independent. I LOVE having him close to me all the time. He comforts me as much as I comfort him. I love and adore my lil man!

I would be lost without my babies. So many people are unable to understand the bond between my dogs and I. They come first just like my children came first when they were babies. There is a sign on my front door that tells all who come here not to bother coming in if you don't like it. This is their home as much as it's mine.
