Default Buddy Belt Leash Length/Color?

Hello! I'm probably going to get my little guy a buddy belt once he hits 6 months old in a couple of weeks. I was thinking about getting the matching leash, so I was wondering what length would be better: 4 feet or 6 feet? Does it make much of a difference? We live in the city so our walks are mostly on sidewalks or sometimes in the park. There are many dogs and people that we would be passing by so I'm leaning towards the 4' for more control..

Also if you have any color suggestions I'd definitely be open to hearing them 😃 I'm thinking Dusk or Natural... I really like Solstice but I'm not sure if that's too girly 😛 (For reference, he's a black tricolor boy).

Thanks in advance for your help!

I like both of those colors , Dusk and Natural for a boy his coloring. I agree that the Solstice may be too girly. I looked at the description of the color and it says it shines pink.
I've never ordered a buddy belt leash . i'm not sure I would like them. I love the susan lanci leashes. If it were me, I would match up a color and order a susan lanci one instead.

The different lengths are to accommodate different human heights in relationship to the size of the dog.

I tend to use the shortest leash possible when I'm walking mine (I don't use retractable leashes either, just fyi, unless it's in my own yard) because I want them directly under my immediate control should there be a need.

Oh man, the Susan Lanci leashes are adorable..! They are kind of out of my price range at the moment, but I'll keep an eye out and see if I can score one on sale.

Yeah, I figured Solstice might be too girly 😢 It's a shame because I really like that one. I might go for natural instead. I think it'll be really nice once it ages a bit.
Thanks for the help!

Oh, I didn't know that! I'm not particularly tall or anything, so I'm probably going to go with the 4' leash. Thank you so much for the help!

I find 4' leashes perfect for small dogs. I find 6' way too long and annoying. I don't want a small dog that far away from me, either.

just thought i'd let you know there is a 35% off sale starting today and ending on 1/21st the sale code is Martin. this is at Doggie couture shop Designer small dog clothes | Luxury pet boutique online

also, the buddy belts and the susan lanci do take a long time to receive unless they are instock. there is an online store I buy my buddy belts from called wetnoseboutique. the lady there is very helpful on the phone and I think she will take returns for exchange if the size isn't right and you send it back within a reasonable period of time

So many cute things at that store, oh my 😍 I may have to pick up a sweater or hoodie for him... Thanks for the sale code!

I'll check out Wet Nose and give the owner a call this week. Thanks again
