So I have a question that has baffled me for ages. Milo, my fawn Chihuahua every so often (season changes?) develops almost scruffy patches of lighter fur on his back towards his hind legs. This fur always looks different, and if you pull it (ever so gently) it just comes out in a huge clump with no effort, but with no sign of his coat getting patchy. It's different to the rest of his fur - not quite as wiry and almost like its 'new'.
I'm wondering, is this normal? I say maybe it does happen every 6 months or so - is it a seasonal thing? He sheds fur so badly, but these clumps are insane! I've tried to have a google but with no luck. I can identify this fur that comes out so easily by just looking at him.
Answers to put my baffled mind at rest would be much appreciated!
