Default Pooping anywhere except the pad tray

Well I just don't know what is going on with Misty. She is 6 months now. She has always been good at peeing on the pee pad and it took longer to get her pooping there but we got there with lots of praise and a treat. She was so proud she would come tearing out of her playpen where her tray is for praise and treat. For about a month has been pooping on the floor. She always has had her signs that she has to poop, Shivers and paces and lays down. Before though she would go to her potty to poop but now she does it at our feet or wherever. I see the signs then when I think the time is right, take her to potty but no luck but then a few mins later poops!! If I catch her I take her to the pen. !!!!!

My best advice is to hang in there and keep doing what you have been doing. It took me forever to get Jackson house trained. He has even relapsed one time so I had to go back to the basics of having him either in his crate or on his leash until he got back into the swing of things again.

I wonder if she had a painful BM in the potty place? I had an Irish Setter who had, unfortunatly, ulcerative colitis. After a painful time, she avoided the large (30x80 feet) pen we had next to the house. I had to open up the big yard for her for a week. She did fine after that.

Other than that, I'd go back to the basics and not let her out of her pen until she does poop, if you catch her needing to go. (on a funny note, I once tried to get the irish setter to 'go' poop when it was raining. It took 1/2 hour in the rain before she finally went. I knew she had to go, 'cause she had asked to go out, and then decided she didn't want to go in the rain. We were both rather wet to say the least, but I won!)

Has she been spayed? If not she could be coming into season, many dogs 'forget' their toilet training when their hormones kick in.
