Default Kong Filler Ideas

Hello!

I'm wondering what you all use as Kong Filler? I use peanut butter and coconut oil. Sometimes a treat in there. But I'm wondering if there are better alternatives? One of my babies is a little overweight so I am looking for healthy alternatives. Both of mine love their Kongs and I love finding new things to put in them.

Thank you!

I have frozen kibble and chicken/beef broth in Kongs. Lasts longer than p.butter! I always give them to the dogs IN their pens so that stuff doesn't leak out when it thaws!

Your baby might be allergic to the Kong. I would watch her closely after you give her the Kong to see how she reacts. I bought my chi a Kong a couple of years ago and when I opened the package you could smell a strong chemically-rubber smell. I washed it several times by hand and in the dish washer. Filled it with treats and gave it to her. She broke out in hives and I know it wasn't from the treats that I've always given her. Just FYI.

I use cottage cheese, pumpkin and yoghurt along with PB.

Usually when I fill mine I put some sort of treat at the bottom, and then seal the end with the pastey treat. For weight loss, I'd put slices of carrot at the bottom and seal it with pumpkin or yoghurt and then freeze.

If your chis like fruits, you could mash some and freeze it in there. My two especially love it with mashed bananas. I also use plain greek yoghurt.

I use wet dog food then freeze it. They eat slower and it lasts longer. Deduct the wet food from the dinner
