Default having an issues with padmes age

I was curious to know padmes exact birthday so I knew when to celebrate it. I asked the woman I bought her from and she told me may 14th. I didn't think anything of it at first and was grateful to get the date. I thought about it awhile and realized that couldn't be true and if it was I was lied to and her life was put in jeopardy. I bought her June 13th it was Monday when I got her they said she just turned six weeks and was given wormer a week ago so to give her wormer in another week but according to her birthday she would have only been four weeks and two days!! if she had just turned six weeks her birthday would be May 2nd. I counted her teeth she had all eight in front and four in the very back too and bottom then there was a gap separating the back from the front on each side of her mouth with a tooth cutting in the gap which would make 28 teeth which is a full set for puppies. from where her neck ends and her tail starts she's 10 inches.from nose to where her tail begins she's 15inches in length she's also about 10 inches around her chest and six around her neck. I'm not sure how to find out her real age she was 2lbs around a week or so ago when we took her to the vet after the grape problem and found out she had hookworms. what should I do? should I ask her if she's sure about the date I don't want to offend or sound rude and cause problems but I don't want to get vaccinations she's not ready for. we've gotten along really well and have talked about our children I've sent pics and updates but I'm afraid of pestering too. is there a way I can find out or approach this? I would have noticed if she was only four weeks right? ugh I have so many questions and worries

Oh boy! I don't know what to say. Do you have ANY paperwork from the breeder? What about vet visits as a baby for check up? Could you ask her for her vet's name and number? Just say you are looking around for a new vet?? Then call that vet, and ask whether or not they ever saw that puppy, and work your way back. I paid for and received a puppy that was 17 weeks old. I never saw the breeder. She was in Oregon, and I am in IL. I called the breeder many times. Puppy was TERRIBLY shy. Evidently I asked the wrong questions, and the breeder never gave me the birth date. I had a picture of the litter at "4 weeks of age" and back tracked a month and made that her birthday. I got a pedigree, finally, and the birth date was not on it. Never AKC registered either. All this, and the breeder was recommended by another breeder in Indiana.

Is this puppy AKC registered, or any other registry?

no certainly no registry of any sort. these were some oops didn't know an 11 year old could get pregnant puppies and don't have the time for them so get rid of them fast at half priced without first shots/vet visit. it was listed on craigslist as six week old puppies and I was told they were six week old puppies that mother stopped nursing at four weeks and they were apparently eating wet pedigree after being nursed by formula a week. I started her back on formula for two weeks before I caught her in the dog food eating it without soaking it first. I ended up messaging her again and saying I needed to know for vaccine purposes which is true and that I had been told two things so I needed to know if she is now seven weeks old or nine weeks old and she said she checked her facebook posts and is "almost positive its May 14th" I don't know what to believe she says her mom gets dates messed up but it seemed like she made the ad it had her name and number and the pics of the pups had her taking them and it said six weeks there too so I don't know if they wanted to get rid of them wayyy to early and lied or maybe she forgot she posted a week or two after they were born but they had gotten rid of all but two when I got her. six weeks was early enough had I known she was four weeks old I would have flipped! they didn't seem like they bred for profit regularly mainly just when they weren't diligent in stopping the Pom from getting to the chi. but I don't know what I should believe or go with shed be huge for 7 weeks that's really hard to believe I ended up finding her on fb but its private and I can't see her posts and it'd probably seem stalkery if I added her bc I had to do some digging to find her but I was hoping to get to the bottom of this.

I am having the same situation with my Redbone pup and a shelter. What we are doing (per my vet) is waiting for her canine puppy teeth to fall out. When they do she will be 16 weeks and count back from there.

You might never know as some people are just unscrupulous. I would just wait a while before vaccinating (IF you decide to vaccinate) and spaying until you know she's old enough for sure.

I never know my pet's birthdays as they are always rescues. I typically celebrate their birthday on their adoption day.

This is making me think of Gobo's age, too. Do little dogs grow and lose their puppy teeth at the same age is bigger dogs? Or earlier or later? It might help sort out Padme's age to know these things too. I have seen different charts that say different things about when they will lose various puppy teeth.

Four weeks is too young to be re-homed, but so is six weeks. You have a puppy that was taken away from its family too soon regardless of the birth date. You will be facing the same issues whether she was four or six weeks, so I wouldn't worry unduly.
Well reared Toy breed pups stay with their family until at least 12 weeks
