Unhappy Royal Canin and urinary tract infection

I have been feeding all three of my dogs Royal Canin Chihuahua for about a year. A few weeks ago my border terrier tested positive for and was treated for a urinary tract infection. I took in a second urine sample a few days ago which showed his infection had cleared up. This morning there was a alot of pee on the ground again so I tried taking in a sample for my chihuahua and my brussels griffin. The Brussels has a slight infection and the chihuahua has a very bad infection. The only thing that they all have in common is their food. Has anyone else had a similar experience? What would be the best food to put them on? My brussels is now on antibiotics for 10 days and by chihuahua for 14 days. I will have them retested at the end of the treatment.

it could be their treats, it could be the water it could be a virus causing the infection.

theres nothing in RC that would realy cause a UTI...least nothing i can think of, ive been feeding RC chi and mini to the chis for almost 2 yrs now with absolutly no problems
most UTI's are bacterial and USUALLY travels UP the urethra from an external source. since dogs dont whipe, its rather unlilkely that theyve transfered bacteria from their feacal matter into their urethra, so id doubt it would be the food, its more likley bacteria in their water.
id give both food and water dishes a VERY good wash out,, if there plastic and have any kind of scratching throw them out and buy new ones, stainless steel or ceramic work best, small scratches in plastic habour bacteria.
if you have ceramic or steel id use a bleach solution then let them air dry then re-wash. if your using plastic and cant find any scrathes and want to keep using id again suggest bleaching, letting air dry then throughly wash again.
all preferably at HIGH heat.

hope there feeling better

They use steel bowls. I just threw them into the dishwasher for a hot scour. I hope it is not their food. They all like the Royal Canin. They sleep together and groom each other so they might have passed it that way. I keep a very clean house so it is not their invironment. I was very surprised that they would all get it at once. Thank you for your suggestions.

Mine eat RC too & haven't had this problem. I don't think it has a thing to do with your housecleaning it's just one of those things that happens

No, but I just took in the urine samples. If Pixel does not get better after her 14 days on antibiotics they will check to see if she has stones. I am getting a 10 month old chihuahua in a couple of weeks to train and socialize for my mother. I hope to get this infection cleared up before she arrives. I brought new stuffing for my couch today. I will be cleaning the upholstery and redoing all of the stuffing. I got a strong hint from my border terrier that something was wrong when he lifted his leg on it a few weeks ago.
