Default here is the info. about it what do you all think

Canimax Tablets for Dogs - Heartworm and Intestinal Worm Control

Active Ingredients: abamectin, praziquantel, oxibendazole

Canimax is a palatable tablet given once every SIX weeks for the control of heartworm and intestinal worms. Presented in a pack of FOUR tablets. Do NOT use in pregnant dogs (safety trials currently underway). It can be used in pups from 6 weeks of age then repeated every 6 weeks.

Used for the prevention of

Heartworm – spread by mosquitoes, so all dogs in such areas are at risk, will cause heart & lung disease and eventually death.

{Dogs must be tested for heartworm before commencing Canimax if they have not been on heartworm prevention before}

and the control of

Roundworm (immature & adult) – causes diarrhoea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In younger dogs it can stunt growth and give them a “pot belly” appearance. As round can be transmitted to puppies soon after they are born, treatment can commence as young as 2 weeks of age. Roundworm can cause disease in humans

Hookworm – causes bloody diarrhoea, anaemia & in some cases death; damage the wall of the intestines causing them to bleed internally leading to black faeces. Larvae and be swallowed or simply migrate through the skin. Roundworm can cause disease in humans

Tapeworm – The Common Flea Tapeworm, Dipylidium develops in the dogs intestine and can be up to 50cm long. Segments of the tapeworm may sometime be seen in the faeces or around the anus area. While not a major health risk, Dipylidium can cause itching around the dogs hind end leading to scooting and/or anal gland problems. Hydatid Tapeworms, Echinococcus granulosa, are more serious. They are found in areas where dogs and sheep are in contact and pose a serious health threat to humans

I've never heard of it...I'm always afraid of brand new medicines though (even for myself). Have you tried it or heard from anyone about it?
