Default Carrots/eyesight?

Sometimes when I take Yoshis picture his eyes look a little strange? (not just the usual red eye from the flash) I always wonder if this means he could have issues later on when he gets older? Someone suggested giving him carrots now to help with problems later. Do any of you guys do this? and are carrots safe for Chis?

Well, I have no idea about whether or not carrots are good for their eyes, but they are good for them to eat. The minute our 3 hear the fridge door open they are there begging for a baby carrot. I do believe that they are their favorite treat. I have to watch Teeny close because he tries to get in the fridge to get his own carrot. I give mine the baby carrots.

Hee Hee - yes oreo loves munching on carrots - can't get enough. I always thought that carrots helping eyes was an old wives tale...

Jinxy loves carrots. I don't know if carrots are good for the eyes though. I know she enjoys having them and they are one of her fav treats.

Seems mine are the only ones who won't eat carrots? They will chew them up and spit them out that's about it. I have a dachshund that will eat broccoli though.???

Yes, carrots are safe. I think some dogs can get diarrhea if they have too many though. I would say that it could potentially help with eyesight because of the high vitamin A content. I know it's supposed to help with human eyesight, so I'm guessing that it could be the same with doggies as well.
