Well, right now carmel is still in training (pee). My question is I want to have her crate trained. But I want to know what the average age when they can hold their bladder longer?

And how long should it be in the crate??

the general rule of thumb is 1 hour per month of age up to 8 hours (overnight)

so an 8 week old puppy shoudl be able to hold it about 2 hours in a crate.
a 6 month old puppy would be about 6 hours with training.

a puppy being crate trained should be in that crate when it cant be supervised 100% of the time...if you have a shower, puppy goes in crate, making dinner, puppy is in crate ect.

some sites says it's the # of months in age plus 1 (so 2+1, 3+1... etc) but that's pretty much about the same.

my older boy could hold over night at about 7 months of age...
my little boy can hold over night, but during the day, half the time he would pee a bit in the crate while i'm at work.

but ya, by the time they can hold over night, that's about the time when they are adults (8-10months of age)
