Reusable PeePads

For those of you using reusable peepads.....did you have any trouble transitioning your dogs from disposables to the reusables? I just ordered some for myself....with 3 dogs, buying disposable peepads is going to get expensive (although Kobi almost never uses them anymore). How did you get them to go on them and on how do you stop them from dragging the pad all over the house?? I use a peepad holder for the disposables, but that won't work on the reusable pads.

I had really hoped to get away for the peepads altogether, but don't think that's going to happen anytime soon. Butters refuses to go potty outside, even when I take him for walks or to the park for hours, he'll hold it until he comes home and then goes on the pad...little stinker! Kobi only goes potty outside and my hope is that Peanut will follow in Kobi's footsteps...so far, he will go potty outside about 70% of the time....so there is hope for him, lol.

Hm i dont know. i trained Gizmoe on pee pads when he was a pupy then decided to just start taking him out when he got a little older... Now he will potty on anything left on the floor that kind of resembles them. Like a towel. :-\ but he's deff. Getting better.

we use pee pad one in the livingroom and 2 washable pads as well. he used to go lovely in the washable one and then he stopped when we put in a litter box with the reg pee pad inside he occasionaly lifts his leg to go in there. hes mostly trained outside or if no one is home there usually a pile or trail of pee in the kitchen floor....lol

Butters seems to be transitioning well to the reusable pee-pad. Peanut has also used it once or twice, but mostly he goes potty outside when Kobi does, which is what I want him to do anyway. At least these will save us a bit of money, even if it ends up that Butters is the only or primary user of them.

Tango went in reverse....he started out with the re-usable pads, then when I moved I changed him to disposable ones. He didn't miss a beat....one pee pad is just like another in his book, I guess. I've wondered though how he'd fare (and Jazz too, whose only experience is with the disposable ones) if I changed them back, because I've been thinking about it lately.
