Peeing on the bed, again?!?

Jack has started peeing on the bed again. He was doing really good for about a month, no accidents at all. Then all the sudden, the night before Jared came home he peed on the bed 4 times in less than 24 hours. He had his usual punishment of having to sleep in their doggie tent/bed instead of in our bed. Then the next day nothing, until I fell asleep, he peed right next to me! Now it's been at least twice a day, my blankets are falling apart from going through the washer so many times. He's built up enough muscle to jump up on the bed on his own now, so I have no way to deter him from coming up there. I can't kennel him because he cries so loud you can hear him outside. Which causes even more problems with my in-laws. We're pretty much confined to our room and an area in the basement right outside our room that I've cleaned up and puppy-proofed and barricaded off. So I have no other options on keeping him somewhere away from the bed at all right now. I just don't know what else to try with him. It seems like he's getting worse with it now and just going completely backwards.

Does he have a urinary tract infection? That would be the first thing I'd check. It might be medical and not behavioral. Otherwise, are you taking him outside enough? It seems so odd that he suddenly would start peeing on the bed. Does he go alot? Or just dribble? I think there might be something going on physically with him. I'd check that first.

I agree with Brodysmom. Most dogs, especially if they sleep on it with you, recognize that a bed is the last place they'd want to relieve themselves- unless they feel there is a good reason (so, on purpose) or they can't help it at all. Very rarely would a dog just happen to go on a bed. I would rule out a physical problem first, and then if there's nothing wrong, try to see if there's something he is trying to tell you. Is there any pattern? Any changes that trigger it? I don't see why he wouldn't jump off the bed to pee unless there's an important reason.

Well, I did expect accidents at first. Venus had accidents too until she was about 6 months old. Which really sucked in the truck cuz we had no way to wash our bedding right away (eew, i shutter just thinking about it again lol). I take him out as often as I can. There is a potty pad right outside our bedroom door that he also uses. It's almost like he does it if we're gone too long (like more than 15 minutes lol) or if he does it at night, it's wheen one of us gets up to go to the bathroom.
I'll have to call the vet and see if we can afford to bring him in right now, if it'll have to wait a week or two. Otherwise I'm just at a loss. It is a lot, to answer Tracys question. It soaks through the comforter, another blanket, the fitted sheet, and usually some makes it way down to the mattress so I have to scrub it to try and get it out. I'm thinking about starting to sleep on a rubber mattress with tarps for blankets lol

Ugh, that is the worst. I have a lot of designs and different colors on my pillows that make it difficult to notice wetness, I never notice til I lay my head down to go to sleep too...

Zoey had a urine infection at one time and would squat right beside me to pee as if asking for help...
