Default Who has Insurance for their Chi??

I was just wondering if people actually do get insurance for their pets?
I have insurance for all my animals. It just gives me piece of mind knowing that if something happens to them, that i am covered.

The reason i have insurance is because we had a chi cross mini foxy called Bella and she got bitten by a snake. We didn't have the funds to cover the costs of the anti venom.
So now we have our animals covered for EVERYTHING. I just don't even want to take the risk. Friends think i am crazy for doing it.

I am considering Ins. for Chico but don't really know a good place to go for the Ins. I am afraid of getting a bad place and then find the ins. isn't worth the paper its written on. I will be watching this thread to see if anyone has recommendations....

Yes i do have insurance.
I went with the PDSA after Joanne here told me more about them.
I also like the fact that some of the money goes to help the animals too. x

I have the Banfield plan on all of my pets.

Of course when I got the statement telling me I'd saved over ten grand since signing up in the late 90s I thought about doing myself an injury, but it's very useful. I've had more than one emergency call, once for Diego and never was charged a penny.

i have more than insurance for my 4 chis - i would recommend getting insurance because you never know what could happen
when layla, one of my chis, was 14 weeks old she accidentally got stood on. at the time she didnt know she had to avoid feet. she was tiny - around 1lb - she was knocked out unconscious and had to spend 1 night in the emergency vets and another night in a specialist vets - we didnt think she was going to make it - all the bills were fast adding up to 1000. she had a fractured skull and the very top of her neck was broke too. if we didnt have insurance we would have never got that money back (at the time it didnt matter to us how much it was costing because all we wanted was her to survive no matter how much it cost, but in the long run we are glad we had the insurance) - thankfully she survived and is doing great !
i now would never not have insurance for my dogs

macy and jordan both have insurance too, plus I have a separate bank account just for them, I put away about $50 each week, it's for routine care, and any up front vet costs.

oh, that's very good. Yes, there are many expenses. I'm starting a thread on the topic so I don't hijack this one
