Default House training & post spay questions

Okay, the post spay...I took Haru to the vet to get spayed a week and 2 days ago, and after a day she was her normal self again which is fantastic, but I noticed something that changed. When she gets scared, she would pee herself....yes, her whole fluffy tail and she'd get her tail all wet and everything with pee. This never happened before she got spayed. Can things like this change after a spay? She would never even let a drop of pee out through any sort of situation before and I find it odd that she does this now. This isn't the first time already. Now she is having accidents left and right in the house. I understand the peeing part, but does it affect her poops too? She never pooped in the house for a long time (give or take an accident or two in her crate but we knew why) and all of a sudden my room is a golden toilet.

Also, as for house training, we had Haru for almost 3 months now. At first, when we first got her we used pads, but decided it wouldn't be the best so we started to let her potty outside. We have a routine and let her out around certain times of the day every single day (give or take a few hours when I don't have to work or get up as early). But she still hasn't gotten the hang of it. When she goes outside I let her free roam the yard, and trust me it's really small to begin with and the people upstairs already ruined the yard (it never had very nice grass) so I let her do her business there. Every time she goes I say "good girl" in the highest happiest voice I can do and keep saying good girl to her. What else should I be doing? I am running out of ideas because I give her a lto of positive reinforcement for going outside. When she goes inside I would firmly say "no" and that's it. Sometimes I give her a light tap on her bum and then she comes and paws all over me because she did something wrong (which makes me forgive her in an instant). But it's frustrating because I try to do everything that is suggested but she thinks that the room is a potty house and my bed is also a potty spot even though she sleeps on it all the times -.-

Oh also, she doesn't let me know if she needs to go, probably because I haven't been using a method, mainly because I didn't want her to start indicating the need to go out just to play. She never has accidents in her crate unless she really can't help it (when she had diarrhea or wasn't feeling well).

Thanks for any advice.

Default Good news and not so good

I faithfully trained my chis day in and day out...I have never had a potty training failure, (and I have raised ALOT of dogs!} til I met a stubborn Chi named Diego!! The good news is my little Chi Poquito asks beautifully to go outside and does so with great joy running in circles by the front door making excited little huffs and squeals! The not so good news is that Diego (they are both six now and I have had since puppies) likes nothing better than to prance out of site and pee on any object he can survey in his kingdom, and I mean anything! LOL, i leave his nails slightly long so I can hear him on my wood floors and run to whatever room he is sneaking off too!!! Good Luck!

I'd get a playpen for both of these pups. Other than when you are with them 100% percent they'd be in there. Is the male neutered? Are you sure the little girl doesn't have a urinary infection? Sometimes while they are being spayed, the bladder gets moved around. Just to make sure, turn a pad over so the plastic side is up, and get a sample.
