I am going to start taking in pregnant Chis (cuz I guess the founder always passes on ones that are going to be euthanized cuz she has no one that is willing to foster them- and I do!) once my current fosters find homes, but until then they just picked up 2 8 week Chi/Yorkie pups and of course they called me cuz I am the known as the Chihuahua Whisperer at the rescue.. ha ha. Anyways. They are sooooo fun and cute!! I haven't weighed them yet but I'd guess 2-2.5 lbs. My girls don't know what to do with puppies tho.. so they are kinda scared of them. They will find homes to quick though, so I don't expect to have them past next weekend, but who knows!
The only one that has been tempting is Zoe, the white and black applehead. She is going to be very hard for me to let go when the time comes... I will cry so much! The rescue doesn't believe I'll be able to let her go.. but I will. I would probably keep her if she wasn't so horrible with babies and kids. She seeks them out and chases and bites them. They don't even need to do anything to her. I know I will always have to supervise young children with my Chis.. but I don't want to have to always keep them separated. That's no life to lead.
In a couple months I am getting a beautiful 1 year old LC from a friend.. and 3 is my limit right now!
