Poor thing! She "doesn't have the patience for a dog anymore". Nice. Really hoping someone here can adopt that little chi! The only chis I ever see here up for adoption are ones that have been shipped from Las Vegas. They must have a high kill rate.

This just breaks my heart. I'm in new jersey wish I was closer. Hoping someone in the area sees this and can help. Some people do not deserve the love or an animal this girl sure doesn't

I am in vegas and do a lot of rescue. You are correct our shelter killed 24,000 (61%) of the dogs that went in- most of them are chihuahuas and pits. I can't see the link but am afraid it is pretty hard to place a chi right now. How big is the dog? Why are they surrendering, I know a lot of owner support programs that may be able to help with training, vet care or food.

Specifically for pits and chis 80-90% of the ones that go into the city shelter get killed- mostly because our shelter really sucks and does nothing to help chis and pits get adopted. Our per capita intake is actually not that bad, the level of killing is inexcusable. They need new management (I am going to a protest about that in a few weeks actually). I wish I could see the post- I can see if I can help. Like I said the chi problem is pretty bad here but you never know, I might be able to find a place for the little one.

I think that she just recently made her page private, because I could view it when I posted and now I can't. The dog looked so sweet. She had made two posts, the first one asking if anyone wanted him/her because she said she doesn't have the patience to deal with a dog anymore. The second post was saying that she needed to get rid of the dog, if I remember correctly. Looked on the bigger side for a chi, but still very small.
