A deer chihuahuas is just a term for a chihuahua that has less of an applehead and defined stop that the standard calls for. They usually have a longer nose, head that slopes downward into the nose rather than an L shape with defined stop. This is one of my mom's chis with an applehead, you can see the rounded bigger head, shorter nose, with the L shape from head to nose. Then the second picture is of Deedlit from the side, she has the smaller head with longer nose and slope from head to nose. They're all chihuahuas though, there is no deer breed or teacup breed, just chihuahuas of different looks and sizes. Hope this is helpful

Applehead

"Deer"head

My Astrid's closer to deer-headed than apple-headed, and my parents little boy Dennis is very much an apple-headed...
Another point about deer-heads is that their eyes seem to 'protrude' slightly more (obviously not in a pug-like way ) This is a bit more visible from the front, so will show you from the front, as Deedlit's provided our side-model

Think my signature picture best shows Astrid's deerhead...

And here's Dennis.... (when he was younger - he's lost his black mask now... )

I thought the "deerhead" came from the Taco Bell Chi? Really big ears and lang nose and narrow head!

I found some pics on google that to me says deerhead!

I prefer an appledoomed headmyself!

Gracie is more of a deerhead. She's got the longer nose, larger eyes, and really long legs. She also has large ears, which I think may be why they never stood up. When you hold up her ears in the standing position they look enourmous, and she looks like she could flap them and just take off!
