Default Showing In The U.k

Hello All

I have a 5 month old chi called pebbles, she could not be K.C registered as her mum was smoothaired and her dad was longhaired.I contacted the kennel club as i still wanted to be part of something as i think she has show potential and we wanted to do something fun, they said i could join the dog companion club as they do shows all over the u.k. I joined the club and went to tockwith show near york, the program didn't make itself clear and we ended up coming home disappointed,we entered her for the pedigree puppy class, they said because she was not 6 months old she could not do any of the classes and she also had to be K,C registered??????? is this the case everywhere? we just want to show her for fun is their any fun dog shows out there? or are they all kennel club ruled so you have to be K.C registered??? if so i think that reall stinks! any help appreciated

Thankyou
Paul

Most dog shows are held under Kennel Club rules, you get the odd 'fun' dog show like the Wag and Bone (that was this weekend at Windsor) and Paws in the Park (which is in Kent in September) that have fun classes but nothing serious - sometimes you get local fun dog shows one of the local villages near me had one some months ago

I do know of a fun dog show being held in Albrighton near Wolverhampton on the 2nd September where they are having Novelty and Pedigree Classes i dont know if thats anywhere near u but if you want further information i can put you in touch with the organisers ..
