Default Showing in other countries?

Could someone please explain to me how does this work? For example, if I have a dog which is registered with IKC (Irish Kennel Club) and I want to show in other country - like UK or Northern Ireland (KC - Kennel Club) or any other country in Europe - like France, Netherlands, Germany ...
Do I have to register my dog in these countries before I want to show there or do I just apply for a show and write down my dogs IKC reg number in the application form?

I understand that IKC is FCI member so I can only show in other clubs which are FCI members as well, is that right?

Thank you

To show here in the UK u need to apply and get an ATC (authority to compete) registration number from the KC think it's 12 once that is granted u put that on the entry forms... Don't know about the rest of Europe I would imagine u would have to register with the relevant kennel clubs and they would have a similar procedure

Brilliant!! Thanks very much Chloe

Do you know how long would it take for them to send me that ATC back? I am wondering if they would accept Irish cheque?

i cant remember i helped someone from europe enter a show here last year and i think it took a while for the ATC number to come through,

http://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/item...art/pg_ftr_art

looking at the above link u might not need to get an ATC number if you are applying from the Republic of Ireland just fill out this form and you can register for exhibition only

http://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/download/377/form4.pdf

which shows are u coming over for

Oh I am just collecting all the info at the moment, I still haven't decided if I'll show Roxy or not, it depends But I was looking at some shows in Northern Ireland first.

Wow it's confusing, if I am applying form the Republic of Ireland I need to fill in that other form, but that one requires export pedigree?? Hmm can I get one from IKC? Maybe I better ring them, because I am sure I'll need to pay for export pedigree from IKC and then pay for registration with KC, but if I get ATC straight away it easier faster and cheaper!

Thanks again

Do you show in the south already? If so do you know Marie Thorpe as her if she will help you. Or Saiorse might be able to give you a hand. Might see you at Belfast in September then???? )

Thank you Denise
Yes I know Marie, I use to meet her at ring craft classes, but they are finished now for the summer.
I really hope I can make it to Belfast this year, I don't think I am going to show Roxy, but I want to go and have a look, at least.

Roxy is 8 months old now and I am not showing her because she is missing few incisions, the puppy ones are gone, but the new ones are not there, I am starting to loose hope, that they will ever grow And her bite looks a little bit crossed now (it's definitely not underbite or overbite), I was hoping when the new incisions will grow in the bite will correct it self, but if they are not growing, I guess I have to forget about showing her

Really, ringcraft closes for the summer, ours are on all year round! It will be good to meet you if you get to Belfast but I wouldn't worry too much about missing teeth if she's only a baby, and at that age mouths can be a bit messy - worry about her mouth if they not in when she's older lol.
