The Good Points

Venue was brilliant, well laid out, plenty of room and well lit. Toiletasvery clean and had both an indoor restaurant selling fresh food and a cabin outside selling burgers etc. I was so tempted to buy a burger but I had brought a wrap with me and yogurt and a banana.

I entered Red in The Junior Class as there was not a Minor or Puppy Class which surprised me... and we came 1st

And....... Red won BEST PUPPY

Our next class was AV Minor Puppy and we came 5th of 7, the judge was really nice, he said to me " he is a lovely dog and confident on the floor but needs more confidence on the table" then said "He would have been placed higher if he'd been more confident on the table" That really put a smile on my face.

Our next class was Best Toy Group where we were not placed.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The BAD points :foxes15:
First off a scruffy Fat "B**Ch" placed her chair right in front of my buggy and had this huge slobbering dog (as big as a Great Dane but wasn't one of those, dunno what it was). Anyway she put this dog right along side my buggy and it kept knocking into it.
I said to the lass politely "Excuse me, I don't wanna cause a fuss but your dog keeps banging into my buggy and I have a very small puppy in there and this will scare him" the lass in a very stern unfriendly tone said "Well my dog is a puppy he is only 10 months old" then turned away. :foxes15::foxes15::foxes15:
Now I am angry amd my maternal instinct kicks in. So I move the buggy over, grab my chair and shove it between the buggy and dog making sure it moved the dog over (I never hurt the dog by the way) I was waiting for scruff to say something and boy was I ready for her this time, however she stayed mute. Oh and I call her Fat B**ch cos she didn't care about scaring Red. Otherwise she'd have been a nice lass ;)
Second up ....
The secretary who is also the chairwoman and treasurer was a right arrogant cow.. When I asked which ring my class was in she turned around in a really abrupt manner and said "Its in the schedule" then ignored me.. I said to her "Keeping calm, I am new to this, just arrived and feeling a bit lost.. then the woman next to her whoever she was .. some official said Ring 6...
Well I asked the judge in ring 6 and it wasn't the right one :rolleyes: Jeez you'd think the officials would get it right. Anyway found it was ring 4 and decided to move my buggy and chair away from Fat B**ch and actually ended up in a better place.
Mind twice someone sat in my chair but I was on a mission now and told em... :D The people were nice and moved..
So I got chatting and was told because I had won my class I was in the TOy Group. THis threw me so I goes back to Secretary and again she was the abrupt cow.. I was starting to wonder if this was how she spoke to everyone.. If this was her dry humour she was like sandpaper.
Anyway when I spoke to her she was awful then ignored me again... :foxes15: Clam down Dawn.. smile and ignore the waste of space.. The other official eventually answered me..
~~~~~~~~~~~~

So a mixture of a day, but Red winning made up for everything.

Why have people got to be so pathetic... sad sad people... I will never get so absorbed about winning to become a miserable old bat..

Red is my **STAR**

Nope most of the time she was sitting there doing nothing, some people just think they are something special, in my eyes no one is better than anyone ..not even the queen..

I am usually the type to speak and be direct about it, but today I thought it wasn't worth it, they are the sad ones with issues not me...

Thanks Amanda, I was told it was bitchy in dog showing and I thought after spectating that it wasn't that bad, especially when I knew how it was in horse showing.

Today has taught me it is very much a different view when your a competitor.. I make a solemn vow that

I Deme solemnly declare that I will never lower myself to the morals of snobbery. :p

The bitching puts me off majorly I can't cope with all that stuff it's dogs at the end of the day when it becomes a popularity contest with the handlers then I'm just not interested in that!!!

I would have loved u to slap reds rosette right on her forehead haha

Well done on your win. Sounds like you had a very bad experience. Unfortunately the secretarys job is a truely stressful one (still didn't give her the right to speak to you like that tho)
It's a shame that you couldn't have gone to the show with someone who knew the ropes
Hope it hasn't put you off too much and I might see you at a show one of these days
