Exclamation Bone Aggression

Hi, I have a 7 month old Chihuahua and the other day I gave him a small bone. I was taking it away from him when I left him as I didn't want to leave him alone with it and he was fine. When I took it away before I was going to bed he went for me so I threw it away and told him off! Also, the other day he was in the garden and came back with a small sharp bone which I took away from him straight away and he also tried to go for me. I get so worried as when he has a treat or food and someone goes up to him he will swallow what ever is in his mouth straight away. Please can someone help me!!!!

Dont' have time to link, but google resource guarding. It will give you tips and information on how how trade up for items of high value. You can also teach "drop it" and "leave it." These are very very important phrases for dogs to know.

I agree. My dogs know leave it, but if it is the sheltie and she wants the chi's poop, she won't listen! It is a race between us!
