Default Neutered male chihuahua pees everywhere

Ali, my 11 year old chi pees everywhere including the pee pad. I catch him peeing against furniture, etc. I say no loudly and immediately spray the area. However, as I am getting older, my nerves are getting worse as to his behavior. I'm at a loss. If I leave him on my bed and go to another room briefly, he'll pee on the bed.

Help!

If he's started doing this and considering his age ,i would get him checked out at the vets

I agree. Sounds like a check up at the vet. I also would not let him in my bedroom when I'm not in there. I'd close the door. Hope you get to the bottom of this behavior.

I agree that at his age I'd have him checked over. IF everything (diabetes, urinary problems etc) checks out, then I'd invest in belly bands. Let us know how things turn out.

Agreed. If this is new behavior, then have them take a urine sample and check it out for an infection. He may need bloodwork as well. Have a senior panel done to check out his kidney status. If all checks out OK, then this is a training issue. Buy some belly bands as Susan suggested and then start training, as you would a puppy. In the crate or tethered to you if he's out. No alone time. Shut all doors. Take him out frequently and praise when he goes appropriately.
