Question Does Angel Eyes work for tear stains?

Hi everyone!

I have a chi baby with tear stains, I've heard of 'angel eyes' supplement and wondered if anyone uses it with success? or are there any other suggestions?
Many thanks

I've heard that it does work, but it contains antibiotics, so it's not good to give antibiotics to your dog everyday. What do you feed? Feeding grain free food will really help.

I would never use that on my Baby, but we use Eye Envy and is super happy with it ! It keeps fungus away ! Just wash over with a cotton pad, and then use a clean make up brush to dust the white powder on, and voila Perfect for the winter when the eyes gets extra runny..

Hi Lindsay!

Many thanks for your reply, I didn't realise it contains antibiotics! that doesn't sound like something I want to give her, I've been using cooled boiled water on cotton wool pads and also Green tea which was suggested by the breeder, I'm in UK, I feed her Wainwrights minced turkey and rice trays and also the breeder gave me Royal Canin Chihuahua but I'm hearing bad things about that so I need to look for an alternative I think.

I'm in the US, so I don't know a lot about foods in the UK. But I would definitely switch to a grain free food. It will really help. Hopefully someone from the UK will come on and tell you what good grain free foods you can get. I would definitely stay away from the Royal Canin. I've heard it isn't good. You should go to dogfoodadvisor.com and look for a 4 or 5 star food that is grain free.

Hi Lyndsay

Wainwrights minced turkey and Rice ingredients are:
Turkey 71%...Turkey liver 5%...Brown rice 5%...minerals, seaweed, chicory root...Additives: Vitamin A, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, Calcium, Phosphorus...Analytical Constituents: Protein 11.7%...Crude fibres 4.9%...Oils & fats 5.4%...Crude ash 2.8%...Moisture 75.2%...it states there are NO wheat or mixed proteins and that its hypo- allergenic.
do these ingredients sound ok? any input would be greatly appreciated thank you!

I'm not good at knowing which foods are good based off the ingredients. But I would get something that doesn't have rice in it. But I did a google search and the grain free wainwrights food I saw a picture of said grain free really big on the bag. Does yours say that? I really wish someone from the UK would come on and help. I just don't know about foods over there. I'm not saying Wainwrights is bad. I just don't know.
